WHY CHOOSE GLC?
The
Catalyst for Student-Centric Education and coaching
We
are the catalyst to create a world in which education is kid-centric, relying
on accurate and comprehensive data to inform each child's optimal learning
path.
OUR MISSION
Partnering
to help all kids learn. Our mission
informs all aspects of the work we do to make kid-centric learning a reality.
WHY HAVE AN ASSESSMENT DONE?
A
behavioral assessment is helpful in identifying your child’s strengths and
weaknesses and will lead to recommendations for both academic and behavioral
intervention. By detecting problems, an assessment can be used to assist in
planning your child’s school program, to identify needs for special services in
school, and to help you access resources in your community.
Every child is more than a number. But the figures
they produce, through our assessment tools, offer a window into their potential,
your students will be tested and you'll receive the data, as well as the
essential tools to use it. Armed with data, you're prepared to meet your
students, when and where they need you most.
Use our data to:
• Determine precisely which concepts a student has mastered,
and which areas to focus on for academic growth.
• Compare academic progress with other children in the class,
grade or district.
• Track academic growth over a school year or over several
years - even if the student changes schools within a district.
• Determine how to fine-tune specific programs from year to
year.
What we do?
• Provide counseling, instruction, and mentoring for those
struggling with social, emotional, and behavioral problems
• Increase achievement by assessing barriers to learning and
determining the best instructional strategies to improve learning
• Promote wellness and resilience by reinforcing
communication and social skills, problem solving, anger management,
self-regulation, self-determination, and optimism
